Mr. Torchinsky was born in Russia and immigrated to the US where he attended college, and received his BA, MBA, and Juris Doctor degrees.

Mr. Torchinsky was the Editor-in-Chief of ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law. In 2007, he published an article in the University of Miami Business Law Review titled “Explaining ‘Explained Decisions’: NASD's Proposal for Written Explanations in Arbitration Awards” (16 U. Miami Bus. L. Rev. 23) (co-authored with Marilyn Cane, J.D.).
